The Newberry  African American History and Culture Museum is in historic downtown Hawkinsville, GA. The museum features several interactive historical exhibits:

6. Black studies library with over 2,000 books on by African American authors
7. Photo exhibit of African Americans from Hawkinsville, GA
8. Cultural & historical artifacts
9. Gift Shop with The Newberry Foundation souvenirs and an in-house seamstress.
